(Quality Management Systems – Special requirements for automotive production and related parts service applications)
TS (Technical Specification) 16949:2002 / TS 16949: 2002 is developed in guidance of IAFT (International Automotive Task Force). This standard defines the requirements for EAQF (France), AVSQ (Italy), VDA6 (Germany) and QS-9000 (USA).
TS 16949: 2002 is based on ISO 9001: 2000 and develops a different approach in establishment and audit of management systems.
ISO/TS 16949 developed by International Automotive Task Force (IATF) with the participation of ISO/TC 176 representatives, automotive manufacturers and commersial union experts.

Uses
TS 16949: 2002 is based on ISO 9001: 2000 and develops a different approach in establishment and audit of management systems.
