ISO 9001 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

Definition of ISO: ISO is the short spelling of the 'International Organization for Standardization', the International Organization for Standardization, founded in 1947, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with more than 160 member countries, the establishment of all ISO standards through its committees and members. It contributes to the world industry, trade, producers, consumers and other related parties by ensuring development. Different standards developed for similar technologies in different countries or regions are sometimes used as "technical barriers to trade". The most important function of ISO today is to eliminate such technical barriers to trade by preparing internationally accepted standards such as ISO 9000 quality management standards and other product standards.

The ISO 9001 standard is also a quality management system standard created and developed by ISO. Organizations apply an internationally accepted quality management system by taking these standard conditions as reference in their activities. It gives its customers the assurance that the continuity of the product and service quality of the organization can be ensured with a management approach that is directed and managed in accordance with the standard conditions of its products and / or services.

ISO 9001: It is a standard that defines an effective quality management system. When the organizations meet the requirements of this standard, they can apply to the certification bodies and obtain the ISO 9001 certificate if the results are suitable as a result of the conformity assessment. The authorization to issue these documents is given to the accreditation bodies of the member countries of the IAF (International Accreditation Forum). accreditation authority in Turkey TURKISH ACCREDITATION AGENCY (TÜRKAK) is a given. TÜRKAK authorizes certification bodies that meet the necessary qualifications and conditions to issue accredited certificates. ISO 9000 series standards are a set of standards published by ISO that guide the establishment and development of the quality management system in order to increase the customer satisfaction of organizations / organizations. The ISO 9001 Standard is the standard that defines the conditions necessary for the establishment and implementation of Quality Management Systems by organizations / organizations and is subject to certification audit.

The ISO 9001 standard is reviewed by the relevant committees of ISO every 5-8 years, and the necessary revisions are made and re-published by taking into account the opinions and needs of the practitioners from the field.
