CE MARK
GENERAL PERSPECTIVE If any product intended to be implemented in European Union market, is within the scope of one or more than one of the European Union Directives, then CE marking is a legal obligation. "CE" Mark stands for "Conformité Européene" in French, meaning “European Conformity”. This regulation requires the manufacturers to attach CE Mark on their products, packagings and on every document related to the product. CE Mark appoints to manufacturers responsibility of complying with the standards and conformity of requirements while the consumers or users are aware that the product complies with basic quality and safety standards. CE Mark is known as a quality symbol by most of the users. CE Mark is an obligation for the products produced in European Union and being within the scope of one or more of the EU Directives. Moreover it is an obligation for the products from non EU countries to be marketed through EU. Therefore CE Mark is a passport for non-EU products.
